Accurate citations and credible scholarly support are essential to a strong dissertation. VannKit offers two levels of specialized review based on the type and depth of support you need.
LEVEL 1: REFERENCE AND CITATION ALIGNMENT REVIEW
Best for students who already have citations and references in their manuscripts and need a detailed accuracy and consistency check.
Your review includes:
• Matching in-text citations with corresponding reference-list entries
• Identifying in-text citations missing from the reference list
• Identifying reference entries that are not cited in the manuscript
• Checking author names and publication years for consistency
• Identifying duplicate, incomplete, or potentially inaccurate entries
• Reviewing narrative and parenthetical citations
• Examining reference entries for APA 7 concerns
• Providing an organized discrepancy report with recommended corrections
This level evaluates the sources already included in the manuscript. It does not include searching for new scholarly sources or identifying every claim requiring additional support.
LEVEL 2: CITATION ALIGNMENT AND SCHOLARLY SUPPORT REVIEW
Best for students who need citation alignment as well as assistance identifying claims that require stronger, newer, or additional scholarly evidence.
This review includes everything provided in Level 1, plus:
• Identification of factual, theoretical, methodological, or research-based claims requiring scholarly support
• Identification of claims supported by outdated, weak, or insufficient sources
• Exact page and section location of each priority scholarly-support gap
• Explanation of why additional support is needed
• Identification of the type of evidence required
• Verified candidate scholarly sources relevant to the manuscript’s claim
• Suggested narrative or parenthetical in-text citations
• Complete APA 7 reference entries
• Explanation of how each recommended source relates to the claim
• A written scholarly-support report with prioritized recommendations
OUR VERIFIED-SOURCE STANDARD
Every recommended source is checked through a recognized scholarly database, DOI record, official publisher, government agency, professional organization, or institutional source.
We verify:
• That the source is real and retrievable
• Author, title, publication year, journal, and DOI information
• The credibility and scholarly status of the publication
• Whether the source is sufficiently current for the topic
• Whether the source genuinely supports the specific manuscript claim
• Whether the publication has been corrected, withdrawn, or retracted
Current scholarship is prioritized, while older sources are retained when they are foundational or uniquely relevant. Unverifiable, retracted, withdrawn, fabricated, or insufficiently relevant sources are not recommended.
All AI-assisted findings and source recommendations receive professional human verification before delivery.
Suggested sources are evidence-based recommendations—not automatic additions to a dissertation. Students remain responsible for obtaining and reading each source, confirming that it supports the intended statement, and following the requirements of their institution, dissertation chair, and committee.
